As Photographers, we are continually striving to improve and learn.
Session Days are the market leaders in photographic events in the North West of England. We organise training workshops and portfolio building days, hiring unique locations and sourcing the very best models to create a variety of photographic opportunities in a friendly atmosphere that is unrivalled in its marketplace. Our events are held regularly throughout the year and sell out incredibly fast! Portrait Workshops
These are more instructional workshops held at our Manchester studio although you do still get chance to work with models. We are currently running a Portrait Masterclass (which usually sells out in record time). This course covers an introduction to off camera flash and studio lights, the use of different modifiers, working with models, posing tips and tricks, post processing information. Plus you get chance to put into practice what you have learnt with a female model on 3 sets in the studio and a male model doing 3 sets on location. These workshops really are invaluable to anyone starting out in Portraiture or keen to progress their work.
In addition, we run Creative Portraiture workshop: Noir & Fine Art. These are the next steps to perfecting your portraiture and adding a creative edge to your work. Working with both a professional female and male model across two different studios, these half day sessions will improve both your lighting skills and your portfolio.
Event Days
These portfolio building days are a great way to expand your portfolio, network, get creative and have fun with other photographers.

The most unique locations in the North West of England to give you something completely different for your portfolio. We have used historic lighthouses, old mills, a nuclear bunker, Tudor houses, forests, disused churches, historic cinemas, forges, spitfire hangar, stately homes, WildWest town etc.

Professional models at the top of their game make your job as a photographer easier. We also use character models and performers to give you something completely different. We have had contemporary dancers, actors, musicians, burlesque performers, zombies to name but a few.

Some events are themed, others are a 'mixed bag' so there will always be something on the events programme to tickle your fancy. Themed events include Vikings, Vintage, Historical Costumes, Hollywood and Military.

Lighting is provided on all sets and help is always on hand so whether you are a seasoned pro or fairly new to off camera flash and studio lights, you will still be able to achieve great results.

Session Days are a fantastic way to build up your portfolio or try something a little different as a photographer. The thought and planning that goes into the variety of models and venues that they provide really is on another level, and all leads to a productive and smooth experience on the day.
