Year in Review 2023
A year full of beautiful clients, fabulous models, sold out events, speaking engagements, training and awards....
I am always honoured to receive recognition for my work and it has been an incredible year for awards, having received 30 national awards in total including my first Gold with The Societies of Photographers. The highlight of my year was most definitely being named Top 5 International Portrait Photographer with the Guild of Photographers. I work hard and am very passionate about my work.
I am also very honoured to be a Finalist again in the The Guild of Photographers Image of the Year competition in the Classical Portraiture genre. From over 12,000 images entered throughout the year, the Judges have selected only 10 images as finalists in each genre. The results will be announced at the Awards Evening next February....

Events and training for Photography Session Days have gone from strength to strength.
23 sold out events this year in some fabulous locations such as a WildWest town, a glitzy residence, a stately home amongst others. We were honoured to go on the road with The Guild of Photographers to Oxford and Peebles Photohubs and then with Graphi Studio on their northern tour. It has been a very successful year and we are eternally grateful for our incredibly supportive photographers. We have some very ambitious plans for 2024!
Take a look at our 2023 Retrospective here.
I am now officially on the speaking circuit - giving talks most weeks. In particular, my Portraits with Impact talk has been extremely popular. I also have 2 brand new talks available to book for later in 2024 - The Art of Boudoir and Photographing Women. Creating content for Youtube with Photography Session Days has pushed my comfort zones. If you are a keen photographer, do subscribe for sneak peeks behind the scenes on our events and lighting, posing and editing tips and tricks!
This year has been crazy busy at times but I have also been on a journey of self discovery and have finally learnt how to balance life a little better, juggling family life with 3 businesses. On a personal note, I have travelled - Abu Dhabi, Barbados, NYC (twice!), Venice, Toronto, New Mexico and Todos Santos in Mexico. We also brought a little bundle of fun into our lives... a little chocolate labrador puppy called Coco who has forced me slow down and be more in the moment.
2024 looks set to be a great year. I was very honoured to have been asked to speak at both the Societies Convention in London in January and at The Photography Show at Birmingham NEC in March. I will be speaking about my biggest passion, photographing women. Do come along and say hello!
I will leave you with some of my most popular images of the year...
